Masai Mara Game Reserve


Masai Mara is the most important and most visited game reserve in Kenya and should not be missed during your trip to Kenya! The Masai Mara is well known for the world famous “Migration”, the annual migration of millions of zebras and wildebeest between the Serengeti in Tanzania and Masai Mara in Kenya. This magnificent spectacle takes place during the months of July till October. But also in the other months of the year the Masai Mara is definitely recommended. The high number of wild animals in the reserve make it a must see. The chance to see all members of the “Big Five” is the biggest in Masai Mara. The largest population of lions in Kenya lives in Masai Mara.

Masai Mara is located in the south of the Rift Valley, bordering the Serengeti, Tanzania. The open savannah, rolling hills, acacia trees and rivers including the Mara River form the beautiful sceneries of the Masai Mara.

Masai Mara is next to Amboseli the homeland of the Maasai community, the world famous tribe in Kenya.
