Kenya

Jambo! Karibu Kenya! Hello! Welcome to Kenya!

You will hear these welcoming words a lot during your stay in Kenya, a very hospitable country. People in Kenya are very friendly, welcoming, happy and always willing to help. Beautiful cultures such as the Maasai and Samburu still live according to their traditions. Dressed in red colourful shuka’s they move along the plains with their livestock.

But of course Kenya is most famous for the wonderful wildlife in the national parks and reserves. The Masai Mara is well known for the large populations of lions as well as the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras from the Serengeti in Tanzania and Masai Mara in Kenya. This amazing spectacle can definitely be called a natural wonder. But other parks are really worth a visit as well.

Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants, with the background of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Many species of birds and flamingos are found in and around the Great Rift Valley lakes. Samburu National Park is well known for the leopards.

The diversity of landscapes in Kenya is big: vast plains, mountains, deserts, savannah, forests, and many others. Each park and reserve has its own charms due to the different landscapes.

The coastline of Kenya is a tropical paradise of palm fringed white sand beaches, where the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean meet the beautiful coral reefs. Kenya is a perfect beach holiday destination.

City lovers can visit one of the interesting sites of the capital city Nairobi or Mombasa.

Kenya is an ideal country for an unforgettable holiday. It offers many possibilities: safaris, beach holidays or a combination of both. Sportive travellers can combine a safari in Kenya with mountain expeditions to the summits of Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Kenya.

Do you want to meet the BIG FIVE, spend some nights in the wilderness, and/or relax on beautiful beaches? Kenya is a perfect destination for a memorable trip! Karibu Kenya!!
