During this trip you will visit the southern parks of Kenya. From Nairobi you will travel to Amboseli, famous for its large herds of elephants, with the background of Kilimanjaro. After Amboseli you will proceed to Tsavo West, Tsavo East, and finally the beautiful coast of Kenya. You will stay 5 days in a nice resort at Diani Beach, south of Mombasa. After your beach stay you will fly to the Masai Mara, one of the most beautiful game reserves in Kenya. You will spend 3 nights in the Mara; you will have enough time to enjoy this beautiful reserve. After your stay in Masai Mara you will fly back home.

Day 1: Departure from your country and arrival in Nairobi

nairobicity2You will be picked up at the airport in Nairobi and brought to your hotel, where you will stay on B&B basis.

Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Today your safari begins! After breakfast your driver will pick you up and drive towards Amboseli National Park. This park is located at the foot of the Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants. The park is also home to many lions, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest, as well as various species of monkeys, jackals, antelopes, hyenas and many species of birds.
Amboseli is the homeland of the Maasai population. You will arrive in time for lunch and make a game drive in the afternoon.
In the evening you can enjoy your dinner and overnight at the lodge/tented camp, where you will stay on Full Board basis.!

Day 3: Amboseli National Park
You will have a full day to enjoy Amboseli. You can discuss your program for today with your driver. In addition to the game drives in the park you can optionally visit a Maasai village bordering the park: a nice way to learn more about this special and ancient culture!

Day 4: Amboseli National Park – Tsavo West
After breakfast you will leave Amboseli. You will drive via the Chyulu Hills to Tsavo West. A beautiful road leading through the spectacular Shetani lava flows. The park’s habitats include open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi desert scrub, acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops and more extensive ranges and isolated hills; belts of riverine vegetation; palm thickets and on the Chyulu hills, mountain forest.
You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge/tented camp. In the afternoon you will make a game drive.

Day 5: Tsavo West – Tsavo East

IMG_1853Today you will depart to the other part of the large Tsavo National Park; Tsavo East, known for the “red elephants”. They get their colour from the red soil in this area. You will see that the landscape in Tsavo East is very different from Tsavo West; the surface of this part is essentially flat and covered with low, dry vegetation and baobab trees.
You will depart after breakfast and arrive in time for lunch at your lodge/tented camp in Tsavo East. In the afternoon you will go on safari..
In the evening you can enjoy the dinner and overnight at your lodge/tented camp.

Day 6: Tsavo East – Diani Beach
Today is the last day of the first part of your safari. With hopefully many great memories and adventurous experiences of your safari you will travel today to the beautiful coast of Kenya. You will stay at Diani Beach, south of Mombasa. In a beautiful seaside resort you can relax and recover from your safari and already look forward to your next safari to Masai Mara. You will stay at the resort on Half Board basis.

Day 7 – 10: Diani Beach
You can relax on the beautiful beach of Diani Beach, or at the swimming pool at your resort. There are as well many excursion possibilities in Diani Beach. You could do a one-day city tour to Mombasa, visiting for example Fort Jesus and the Old Town. Haller Park and Mamba Village are two other tourist attractions in Mombasa. You could also visit Wasini Island, book snorkelling/diving trips and water sport activities in Diani. If you would like to receive any information about one of these excursions, please let us know.

Day 11: Diani Beach – Masai Mara
Today you will leave Diani Beach, and depart to the Masai Mara, one of the most beautiful game reserves in Kenya. Masai Mara is known for the world famous “Migration”, the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras between the Serengeti in Tanzania and Masai Mara in Kenya. This spectacle takes place during the months of July till October. However, in other months the Masai Mara is definitely worth a visit as well! The open savannah, rolling hills, acacia trees and rivers including the Mara River form the beautiful sceneries of the Masai Mara. But of course the high number of wild animals living in the Masai Mara, make it a must see!
After breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the airport, where you will depart to Masai Mara. Upon arrival in Masai Mara you will be picked up by a landcruiser from your camp.
After check-in you can enjoy a nice lunch. Later in the afternoon you will make your first game drive.
You will stay at the camp on package basis. Please note that game drives are shared with other guests from the camp. 2 Game drives per day are included.

Day 12+13: Masai Mara

lionYou will have 2 full days to enjoy the beauty of the Masai Mara. You will make 2 game drives per day. In between the safaris you can enjoy the surroundings and facilities at the beautiful tented camp..
Optionally you can visit a Maasai village or book other activities like nature walks and extra safaris, you can arrange this at the reception.

Day 14: Masai Mara – Nairobi – back home
Today is the last day of your safari. You will fly from Masai Mara back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight.
