Taita Hills, adjacent to Tsavo West National Park, is a private sanctuary at the foot of the Taita hills. It is a relatively small reserve full of wildlife. It hosts wildebeest, elephants, buffalos, zebras and predators.
It is possible to make night game drives guided by local rangers.
The two lodges in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary are belonging to the Sarova hotel chain. The Salt Lick Lodge is a unique lodge built atop stilts overlooking a waterhole. Animals are often passing under the lodge, a great experience!
